Motivational Newsletter
Jan 23
2009
We have one distinct advantage that is so stunning as to be God given in that we speak English fluently, including of course any accents or dialects. It is the world’s most widespread language, and the second language of nearly every other nation, and the language of Leaders. Which brings me to my point.
The Alex Jeffreys http:// marketingwithyou.com student mentoring program of which we believe there are nearly 500 members is throwing up some great leaders which is evident in the latest Newsletter. Gary Parkes is one of them, garryparkes has now produced the thirty one page bumper bundle f*ree Newsletter with the help of some of the group who are all wanting to contribute articles for those of us who are not only newbies but experts in their field. Visit his website and watch the first of his new videos.
There are many great articles. Copywriting by Coleen Cook, coleencook is one you should not miss.
Nikki Stephens, NikkiStephens has written her first article on simple HTML for Newbies. I never new it could be this simple!
The Key to Dominating Google, A subject we should all become familiar with if we want to make any headway in the Google rankings Jerry Holliday has some of the answers sosinternetbusinesshelp
Tools for Quicker Blog Commenting written by Thomas Northrop, , two useful Link Finder url’s.
Last but not least Mr Motivator himself the prolific writer and critique, on a parallel Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy. Gary Simpson, motivationselfesteem. We are very lucky to have this guy in the group. Some of his muses can be quite lengthy, but he does manage to get his point across!
So, grab your current Newsletter. Two back issues are also available at the Garry Parkes site.

WEB 2 MARKETING
Jan 19
2009
Some fairly recent research from Google Insight searches shows some startling facts for the Countries with the highest interest/ranking. The sites are as follows.
MY SPACE.
1. United States.
2. Puerto Rico.
3. Australia.
4. UK.
FACEBOOK.
1. Turkey.
2. Canada.
3. UK.
4. South Africa.
TWITTER.
1. Japan.
2. Taiwan.
3. United States.
4. Singapore.
These facts broadly indicate that social networks are truly global affairs.
But the problem is that social sites are not keen on marketers who blatantly ‘pimp’ on their sites, so be careful not to get banned or cautioned.
So, what can we do. Make friends by offering free advice and as Alex recommends give away free prodcts. The more you help people the more they will give in return. Make recommendations and links to other sites, without expecting anything inreturn.
Humor goes a long way in establishing friendly links and adds to your marketing profile.
Most importantly, maintain an honest approach. Your new contacts will quickly spot any dishonesty….so honesty is the best policy every time to get guaranteed web traffic.
USEFUL TIP.
I sometimes need to use the € (Euro) symbol. I am running Windows XP on my fairly new Dell Laptop and have a keyboard without this symbol. Why there is no € (Euro) symbol on modern keyboards seems strange to me, as I reckon that there are nearly as many people using this symbol as there are those using the $ and £ signs. Anyway where there’s a will there’s a way! Here’s how using two methods…….PRESS Ctrl+ Alt +4 and you have it, OR if you prefer Alt Gr + 4 - the Alt key.. I believe this method will also work when using ‘Vista’!

The Video Marketing Queen
Jan 12
2009
Alex Jeffreys had invited a guest speaker on the Thursday link, known as the Video Marketing Queen Maria Andros.
It was a great night which lasted over 2 hours. Whilst she was talking I had her on Youtube channel and she was well worth viewing!t She gave us all some great tips on video marketing with her 7 Steps for Video Marketing success. Just to record her stats. She made a six figure income in her first year (2007) and she now commands $6,000 per day as a speaker, and has over 500,000 people watching her videos. It was interesting to learn that videos convert 600% higher than text.
Get signed up now with http://harryharrisblog.com to send your photo and blog site to be included as a student of Alex. He tells you how to do this in a video, a great help if you are not a Techie!
Just to remind everybody to contact http://Markcall.com/blog to have an opportunity to be interviewed to be added as a student of Alex 2008/9. He has a form on his blog site so that you can easily subscribe there.
I missed the Trafffic Tornados on Friday the 9th as I was away, but will catch up with this module later when it is downloaded to the Members Area.

Visions and Goals
Jan 6
2009
Hi Everybody,
Old year gone , herald the new. Time to affirm ones visions and goals. I guess we have all fallen prey to buying dreams fom the so called Guru’s, promising to to make millionaires of you with little or no work.I am as guilty as the rest. They are bound to fail and have done, miserably.
If Alex has taught us one thing and that is to stay focused, and he is living proof, a visionary. This guy is remarkable, he sold us all a dream and he is following it through with his coaching and brainstorming sessions.
Think about it, is your vision a source of inspiration? One thing I have learnt is, NO vision, NO goal.
My main goal(s) for 2009 is to blast hrough the list building program, have Twitter up and running, sought out my squeeze page (don’t know how to do this…yet), learn to put video on my blog, and make the time to visit other students Blogs and leave my comments.
Just a comment on my previous post. If you follow Mike Filsaime on Twitter he will give you a present of some free software worth $97 dollars, and he has included his www.viralfriendtool.com software, with a choice of some others too, (you can only have one foc!)
Cheers for now

Post Christmas
Dec 28
2008
I sincerely hope that next year will be a prosperous one, particularly now that we are all committed to following Alex and his marathon sessions. No doubt the caffeine helps, but Alex, too much is not good for you!
I seem to be way behind most students, but I have put in more hours in finishing my e book, tell you about it shortly.
I have also made time to surf many of the blogs that you have all been installing, and wow, there are some terrific sites with lots of info. This I need really being a non techie, and thanks to those who have been giving me some advice, www.deanhohn.com in particular. I say I am a non teckie, as I have never used wordpress before and consequently have struggled somewhat, anyway up and running now, but not out of my comfort zone yet, still lots to learn.
I came across a site which I rate as one of the best, www.widlas.com. Thomas has been on the internet for 8 years now. He comes from Norway an lives in Bergen. He advises www.gravatar.com to enable pictures on your site, useful.
I recommend www.godaddy.com to select your domain name, and if you put in ‘wordpress’ as a code ticket then you will get a substantial discount., something like $4 dollars off the annual list price. If you can get your own name as a domain .com then do it before someone else grabs it.
